Facebook RSS Import InstructionsFacebook RSS Import Instructions

Below are instructions on how to import an RSS feed into a Facebook page.

  1. Copy the link to the RSS feed you want to import to Facebook.
  2. Navigate to your Facebook page and click on "edit page" below the main image.
  3. You should see a list of applications like "settings," "wall settings," "mobile," etc. Scroll down to the "Notes" application.
  4. Click on "Application Settings" and in the pop-up, click on the "additional permissions" tab, and make sure that "publish content to my wall" is checked. Click "okay" to close out of the pop-up.
  5. Still under the "notes" application, click "Edit."
  6. In the right sidebar, under "Notes Settings," click "Import a Blog."
  7. In the "Web URL" field, paste the RSS feed url that you copied in step one and check the check box immediately below it which indicates you have the right to repost this RSS feed. Click "import feed."
  8. The next screen will show you what will be imported for now onto your Facebook Page. If it is to your liking, click the "confirm import" button in the right column. If it is not exactly what you expected (for example, if you want full text, and it's only displaying teasers, or if it's not sorted how you want it) click "cancel," and go back and edit the settings on the RSS feed to reflect what exactly you want. Then, repeat steps 5-8.
  9. By default, all of the items that you saw on the confirm page will be immediately posted to your wall in a row. You can go back to your wall (by navigating to your page) and remove the items you don't necessarily want posted at the top right now by hovering over each item and clicking the "remove" button to the right.

Whenever you post a new item to your page, it should show up on your Facebook page automatically (within a couple of hours).
