The Open Media Foundation is dedicated to making the media accessible to everyone, especially those who are underrepresented in traditional media. Since 2004, we have provided over $1,000,000 in grants, scholarships and discounts to individuals and organizations. Currently, our grants are limited to matching grants, scholarships and discounts toward the services, tools and training we provide at OMF for local nonprofits and community organizations.
Our grant program would not be possible without continued support from our committed donors and volunteers. If you would like to make a donation, please visit our online donation form.
Our services grants can be applied to video production, branding or web development. Nonprofit organizations and Government entities automatically qualify for our one-to-one matching grants.
The Open Media Foundation provides educational scholarships to individuals who demonstrate financial need and require a discount in order to take our classes.
Nonprofit Organization Member Grant
For Denver residents from a registered 501(c)3 organization, if you are interested in your organization becoming a member/producer of Denver Open Media, a unique, user-driven public-access TV station that operates 3 Comcast cable channels in Denver: 56, 57 & 219, then the Nonprofit Organization Member Grant could meet your needs. Grants are designed to aid DOM producers that are in the production of their series programming, or to provide additional suppport to complete a particular media project. This grant should serve as both an extension of our education program by developing a high-quality production for those producers needing to develop additional skill sets and to assist those producers most in need of financial and personnel assistance.
OMF Fiscal Sponsorship Program
Through our fiscal sponsorship program, fledgling projects may take advantage of fundraising through our tax-exempt 501(c)3 status, plus access our administrative capacities to help jump-start their concept.
We provide support by handling all your back-office needs, allowing you to focus on the heart and soul of your idea: providing valuable services to the community.
If you have a well-organized project concept that is aligned with our mission, we’d like to hear from you.
