Freespeech.org is a website built to promote the television station managed by Free Speech TV. Like any savvy media outlet, Free Speech TV's website is a place for their viewers and supporters to interact with each other, explore archived video clips and learn more about how to get involved beyond watching the TV channel.
This website averages thirty to forty thousand visits per day, and depends on a reliable hosting service to manage the bandwidth of all the videos the website features and needs to provide fresh and relevant content to the web community. OMF manages the server configuration to handle the web traffic; for a big website that serves such a large community, having a strong and reliant hosting server is very important.
With the many fundraising pushes and sponsored events that Free Speech maintains, being able to manage the website's functionality is an ongoing project for the OMF web department. Most recently, we have helped freespeech.org set up a calendar solely populated by events posted by the public, designed a landing page for multiple live-streaming video players and an archive for select video footage. The Free Speech website is an organic entity that grows and adapts with their viewing community.
