Though electronic media production and distribution are more accessible than ever, they still require a certain skill set. If people aren't given the opportunity to learn these skills, they begin to lose their voice. The philosophy behind the classes offered by the Open Media Foundation is affordability, accessibility and practical application. Although any member of the community can access these classes, the Open Media Foundation also provides equipment certification for Denver's community access TV station, Denver Open Media. Denver Open Media is offering a new way to receive your studio certification.
In addition to being able to volunteer on an existing studio shoot, Denver Open Media is now also offering a 3-hour hands-on session where participants can take part in multiple studio rotations and produce a short studio
