If you are interested in video production, community media, television production, open-source technology, animation or small nonprofits that empower communities through media, we want you! The Open Media Foundation takes a brand new approach to television and media. Just as organizations such as YouTube and Wikipedia have changed the way that individuals create and access media on the web, Open Media Foundation has created a participatory model for community TV on a level only imagined before.
We are a small nonprofit organization so we rely on our interns to help make us work! Which means interns get meaningful, real world experience and have the opportunity to fully participate in the exciting world of both video and interactive community TV. Our internships are unpaid but all interns have free access to our equipment, resources and production classes. Individuals fluent in Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply!
Internships are available in:
- Radio/Community Media
- State Capitol Production (available only January through May)
- Executive Assistant
These internship opportunities are available only to persons in the Denver metro area.
OMF interns can take any and all DOM workshops and have a free access to DOM equipment and studios for the term of their internship. This Unlimited Membership will have the same benefits and restrictions as our normal members unless specific arrangements are made. Interns should coordinate attending workshops with their supervisor so scheduling conflicts do not arise and all desired workshops are completed within the term of the internship.
To complete an internship, we require a minimum of 8 hours per week, for a total of 200 hours. We are looking for people who are excited about our work and mission, who will prioritize their experience with us. To apply, please follow the links above to explore the specifics of each of our positions and choose which best fits your interests, then complete the online application. We look forward to hearing from you!
